Inky, Pinky, Blinky and Clyde

Get the cherries!

TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. Pac Man (no hyphen, by the way, as any geek can tell you) has been around for a quarter of a freaking century. And speaking of quarters, the game has earned an astounding $100 million U.S. through coin-op sales only. The total amount that Namco has made though spin-offs, cartoons, licensed products, and home video games is literally uncountable.

Why was the game so awesome? It was easy to learn, but the learning curve after the first couple of levels made every bit of progress deeply rewarding. It was a good game. And the quality of the game is what it was supposed to be all about.

Hell, the game is STILL awesome. Got a quarter?
