Arf!

Nintendogs running wild.

In case anyone was wondering what possible mainstream appeal "Nintendogs" could have ... the DS handheld is selling four times more units per week since the release of the digital pooches in Japan. And, just to make all the fanboys vibrate with anticipation, the judges at the notoriously picky (and seriously influential) Japanese gaming weekly Famitsu have scored the game a perfect 40 out of 40. Personally, I only remember one other game getting a perfect score (Metroid Prime) so the feat is rare indeed. If you can't read hiragana, well, it sucks to be you.

UPDATE: Some fanboys can't handle the vibration, and have started importing copies of Nintendogs from Japan. The game is way heavy on text, however, and the experience has to be somewhat frustrating. There are blogs abounding about the experience, though, if you want to flip through Google to check it out.
