Quark Distress

Can't these guys do anything anymore?

Speaking of Quark (and we were, actually) ... the big news from Quark on Friday was that "Quark is back, Quark has teeth again, everything about Quark is new!"

Well, they do have a new logo, and they do have a new web site design, and they do ... er ... well, that's it. Same old shitty product, and (as of 10:14 EDT on Monday, September 12, 2005) the same old shitty service - shitty service that they have the gall to call "service plus". Whatever.

Oddly enough, as Quark struggles with accusations that their immensely terrible Version 6.5 was a sad attempt to copy Adobe's InDesign product, their new logo is a complete and utter rip-off of the logo of the Scottish Arts Council. More tellingly, their "new" website design has an awful lot in common with the SAC's website. What is going on here? Could they really be that blatant? Visit both sites and you be the judge ...
