Thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart

Get rich quick.

Two couples in Tennessee have been busted for printing out fake (yet valid) UPC bars and plastering them over the REAL barcodes on products at Wal-Mart. They would print out a UPC for a 60 dollar no-name DVD player, and then stick it on the box of an 800 dollar Sony DVD recorder, head for the checkout, and happily hand over the 80 bucks that came up on the cash register when the item was scanned. They did this to the tune of a million and a half dollars worth of stuff. I would LIKE to say that I am amazed by the ineptitude of the cashiers at Wal-Mart for not noticing this sort of thing, but that would be lying. So instead I will say "Why the hell didn't I think of this first?"
