Geekback – iPhone 3.1 Unlock

It turns out that some, but not most, iPhone 3G users are having an issue with email after applying the legit 3.1 upgrade. I have checked with some people who used the 3.1 3G unlock files here, and none of them report any issues, but just to be on the safe side I am taking down the 3.1 3G files for now. There is some debate as to whether this is a carrier issue or a software issue, but as soon as there is a resolution either way I will make the files available, corrected if necessary.

Thanks to Tod for the tip.

Did you ever find a SAFE solution to the comment from Tod. I have an iPhone 3G and live in Canada, but travel extensively to the US and would like to unlock my phone. I use a SIM card, have no contract but the carrier is Rogers. I am looking for a SAFE way to do this as I hate the roaming charges when travelling south of the border. Hope you can HELP and look forward to hearing from you. I am not a genius with computers, but do know some and am hoping the solution is user friendly. Also, like the iPhone and would hate to ruin it in anyway. It is not under warrenty, but can’t afford a new one as I am a Senior on a fixed income. Again, thanks for any help you can give me.
